My Beauty Essentials

I have to admit, I’m not one to wear makeup on a daily basis. But I do enjoy applying something to my face when going out for dinner or even when going into town for a little retail therapy. Here are a few of my current favourites which I have been using quite a bit.

If my face is looking a bit spotty or uneven I’ll usually apply a little bit of the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream to make my skin look smooth. It also leaves my skin feeling nice and moisturised.

The Clinique Powder (which I believe was special edition) is a perfect match to my skin tone and does a great job of setting the BB cream with a matte finish. The Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette comes with three very flattering colours. I especially like the shimmery highlighter which is what I’ve been using quite a bit!

I’ve been using the Natio Blusher for contouring, putting it in the hollows of my cheeks. Please excuse dirty packaging as it is a product I’ve had for quite a while. The brush I’ve been using to apply most of my makeup is a MAC dupe. When I can be bothered to put mascara on, (not very often to be honest with you) I use this mascara from Kiko (which is an Italian brand). The results are quite impressing!

Lastly, the makeup bag I’ve been using is from Colette. It’s a gorgeous blue colour and is in a cylinder shape. It is a perfect size to put my current favourite products in.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about the makeup I’ve been using lately. Let me know what you think down below!
* I was in no way sponsored to create this post. I bought these products myself and I’m giving my honest opinion *

The Winter to Spring Transition || OOTD

Boyfriend jeans - Factorie
Rainbow sweater - Billabong
Creepers - Ebay
Shoulder bag - Rusty
Bowler hat - Dotti
Sunnies - Market

I find that the transitions from one season to the next can be exciting but confusing at the same time. I’m always unsure of what to wear, worried that I will end up too hot or too cold. I find that going with your instincts whilst playing it safe is the way to go.

Today was quite a sunny day but there was still quite a cool breeze. So I decided on a pair of boyfriend jeans, a comfy light-weight sweater which kept me warm and I could still roll up the sleeves if the sun decided to come out.
